The posters for the 2018 National Fine Art Show & Auction features Living Wild by Sandra Haynes. Sandra is also participating in this show with her display booth.

Sandra grew up in the rural setting of Molalla in the Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. Rich in wildlife and diverse woodlands, she spent much of her time in the Cascade Mountains studying nearly untouched wilderness. With a family of outdoorsmen as her teachers and guides, she was immersed in the world of wildlife and the woods.

Combined with a constant desire to draw, wildlife art was a natural path to follow.

Sandra has a home in the desert country of Eastern Oregon, and travels much of the west, gathering the reference photos of animals, birds and landscapes that she uses in her works of art in Scratchboard, Oils and Graphite Pencil.

The rest of her time is spent in the studio creating or traveling to attend shows. She is a published author and has written several Scratchboard instructional books and stories about her adventures as an artist. All are available on Amazon.

Sandra is a juried Signature Member of the International Society of Scratchboard Artists, and also recently won the Nancy McLaughlin Award in 2015 and Best of Show, Mixed Media Miniature in 2016 at the Oldfield Show in Puyallup, Washington and Best of Show, Drawn Media in 2015 and 2014, and Artists Choice in 2012 at the Western Heritage Show in Great Falls, Montana.

The posters for the 2017 National Fine Art Show & Auction features Mt. Stuart Country by Robert Walton.

Robert Walton has been selected by the Western Art Association as the 2017 Poster Artists for the 45th National Fine Art Show and Auction.  The painting, which is an oil with pallet knife and brush, is titled “Mount Stuart Country”.

Bob was born in Tacoma, Washington and at the tender age of 14 he joined the Tacoma Mountaineers Club.  His fascination in the beauty of the majestic mountains led him to become a mountain climber and In 1958 he was in the party to make the first ascent of the west wall of Mt. Rainier. Today he paints his way to the top of the peaks.  Bob now resides in Spokane but continues to do many workshops and art shows throughout the western states.  He became a Leanin’ Tree artist in 1993, the WAA 1999 Poster Artist, 2005 Clymer Award recipient, 2012 People’s Choice Award winner at the National Fine Art Show and Auction and an active participant in the Fred Oldfield Heritage Center.  He is represented by many galleries including the Goodey Gallery in Ellensburg.  Be sure to stop by his booth to visit and view his inspiring artworks.
